Vida Holistic Wellness Studio offers a Pilates sessions for men and women. Pilates is a physical fitness system developed in the early 20th century by Joseph Pilates. He developed the method called “Contrology,” the complete coordination of the body, mind, and spirit. Pilates is applied with evidence-based methodology and is designed to improve breathing patterns, strength, balance, flexibility, injury prevention and posture reeducation.
Pilates enhances neuromuscular pathways in the body this way improving quality of movement with ease and less effort. For example, with daily tasks such as sitting, walking, squatting, and bending. Pilates is more than just a workout! After a few months of this practice, you will notice not only how your body strengthens, lengthens, and sculpts, but most importantly, how it clears your mind, giving you more energy and a great sense of inner peace.

Mat-based Pilates are a series of exercises that are performed on the mat using one’s own body weight to provide resistance. Props such as golf balls and foam rollers are used to aid with myofascial release. Other props such as Thera bands, Pilate discs, and physio large balls may be used in conjunction to further increase strength, endurance, and body awareness.
Private 60 minute lessons include the usage of all Pilate equipment and props that are provided by the studio.
